Twilight – Breaking Dawn

I finally have some time to blog!!

With reading the Twilight series, work, holidays, laundry, kids, basketball games, kids and ……kids… I’ve been running a little thin these days.

OMG… where do I begin???

I only have a quarter left to read of Breaking Dawn.  Right now especially with what I read last night and what is happening in this part of the book.. I’m totally and utterly captivated.  I’m amazed, on edge and shocked with the revelations!!  There are twists in the story that normally you can kinda guess what direction an author is heading towards..but a few things that happened in the story that totally caught me off guard.  Outcomes that I would have never foreseen in a thousand years!

I’ve been consumed with these books.

Its wonderful but horrible all at the same time because by tonight it will end… and I will want it to go on somehow but Ill have to let go.  Ill have to embrace that this is the end.. (at least until Stephanie Meyers publishes Midnight Sun)  How can I be so excited to know the outcome yetso depressed at the same time!  I’m a lunatic.  I’m obsessed.  Not good! hahaa.. but I’m proud to be a loyalist.  A true fan.  I’m also proud that I’ve sucked in my best friend now that she is totally obsessed with it as well and texts me about 20 times a day giving me updates on her feelings on parts of the book!

I’ll definitely remember the memories this past month and a half has given me… like… trying to sneak reading in between Christmas dinner and midnight mass without being noticed.  Staying up late every night till at least 12 to read and falling asleep at my desk the next day.  Going to Starbucks with Cinnamon and Jenn and talking to the wall.  Martin having to sleep every night with the lights on and his face buried in a pillow because I’m still not quite done reading yet.  Telling my son he is gonna have to sleep in the chicken coupe tonight if he doesn’t get up off me while I’m reading when all he wants to do is play horsey with me.  Also when he tries to touch my book and I snap at him that if he even gets one page dirty in the book that I’d cut his fingers off.  Oh!  I could go on and on and on… I will cherish these memories as I end the series.. then read them all over again!! hahhaha!  And my all time FAVORITE memory…  Ignoring my daughter Lei to where she growled at me and said “I wished that they never wrote these books!” LOL.

By the way, I finally watched the movie last weekend, and I was so pumped that I was able to make my family watch it with me.  Except Amari who for some reason thought we were watching Michael Jackson and ran off to Lolo terrified.  Aleighja actually loved the movie.  Martin admitted that he too liked the movie and was glad that now he knew some of the story and what I’ve been fussing over this whole time.  I liked the movie.  Not as good as the book but it was fun watching the characters come to life.
